SF Giants’ Webb to start on Opening Day for fifth straight season

Two-time All-Star Logan Webb will start on Opening Night for the San Francisco Giants against the New York Yankees on March 25. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Webb has been chosen to start the season. He joins Hall of Famer Juan Marichal as the only other Giant pitcher to start five consecutive Opening Days since the team moved to San Francisco. Despite not participating in the World Baseball Championship, Webb will remain with Team USA until the end of the tournament before returning to Giants camp.
