RJ Evans, a promising prospect in the 2029 class, has been offered by Mark Pope and the Kentucky staff. The announcement was made during the Nike EYBL Peach Jam in South Carolina. While checking out a potential match between 2028 guard Jason Gardner Jr. and 2029 wing, Pope extended an offer to Evans, who is considered one of the top players regardless of class. Other top schools have also offered the 6-7 forward, including Louisville, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Florida State, NC State and Providence. This is not often seen a top school extend an offer so early, but both Kentucky and Louisville seem eager to build on this interest.
