Rutgers women's basketball coach, Gary Redus, has secured his first major recruit in his tenure with the team. Chikae Desdunes, a four-star guard from DME Academy in Florida, was previously committed to Penn State. This is the first player to commit to Redus since he was named head coach at Rutgers last month. This follows a flurry of coaching appointments, including his sister Manisha Redus and former LSU assistant Daphne Mitchell. Redus also hired Matthew Brune as general manager.
