UK reveals aid priorities after major cuts to budget

The UK has revealed its aid priorities following major budget cuts, with funding protected for Ukraine, Palestine, Lebanon, and Sudan, while Mozambique and Pakistan are among those receiving the largest cuts to their direct grants. Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper stated that Yemen, Somalia, and Afghanistan will remain top humanitarian priorities. She also warned that the cuts could have significant consequences for refugees seeking asylum. Bond CEO Romilly Greenhill warned that Africa and the Middle East will pay the highest price due to the reduced budget.
