The Ford Mustang has been a key feature in the 2026 model year for the Dark Horse SC model, a successor to the Mustang Shelby GT500. The new model swaps the standard model's 5.0-liter V-8 for a 5.2-liter unit with a supercharger and adds aesthetic and performance parts. A new FX appearance package is now available on GT Premium models, paying homage to one of the Mustang's most iconic eras. The base powertrain is a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and a 5-year-old supercharged 5.5-second model. The Mustang's GT can also add a GT Performance package for roughly $5000 extra, which includes 19-inch wheels, big Brembo calipers, a 3.73-geared Torsen differential, and some sweet appearance bits. The price of the new model is $10,000.
