The 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Now Makes Almost 300 HP but Still Costs Under $45,000

The 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid starts at $44,990, an increase of $2845 from the 2025 model, and adds an improved plug-in hybrid system with more range and significantly more horsepower. The larger battery with improved cooling and thermal management allowed it to increase output from 248 horsepower to 297 horsepower. Despite the price hike, the Outlander PHEV now provides a claimed 45 miles of electric range and is more engaging to drive. The vehicle also features a revised front grille, new headlights and taillights, and new 18- and 20-inch wheel designs.
