Iranian director Jafar Panahi has been promoting his Oscar-nominated film, "It Was Just An Accident," while amidst unrest and war in his home country. Panahi, who secretly shot the film in Iran, has been on the road promoting the film and struggling to absorb fast-moving news. The film, which is about his time in the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran, is nominated in the best original screenplay and international film categories for the upcoming Oscars. Despite the near-total internet blackout in Iran and disruption of communication, Panahi remains hopeful about the future of Iranian prisoners. He also expressed sadness over the death of Iran's hard-line Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who ruled the country for 36 years.
