However, some leaders inside the federal government have expressed interest in Anthropic AI, which they believe is a significant factor in the US's ability to leverage AI for national defense and cyber defense. The Pentagon has ruled out a compromise on this, stating that unless Anthropic returns to government talks, any agreement regarding AI use requires marriage-counselor-level mediation between the two parties.
