Jessica Gift, the new director of Orange Community Education and Recreation (OCER), has been familiar with the organization prior to her appointment. Gift was approved as OCER director by the Orange Board of Education and replaced Jill Korsok, who retired after 8½ years. Gift, who has previously served as deputy commissioner of strategic development and execution for the City of Cleveland’s Parks and Recreation Department, also served as director of parks and recreation for the city of Richmond Heights. She has a contract with OCER through July 31, 2027. Gift's role in OCER is described as a "dream" to lead within an organization that values inclusion, connection and service.
