Hatboro Supports Energy Affordability Through Reform

The Borough of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, has expressed support for reforms to reduce energy costs and maintain them at an affordable level. This comes after PECO announced it was withdrawing a proposal to increase rates due to concerns over the impact of rapidly growing data centers on the electrical grid. The borough has been working on Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) for several years to provide cleaner, more affordable energy to residents and small businesses. The program already exists in eleven other states and can provide savings of 10 percent on average.
