Edmonton Oilers defeated San Jose Sharks 5-2, marking Connor McDavid's 15th career hat trick and extending his NHL-leading point total to 133. The win moved the Edmonton Oilers into sole possession of first place in the Pacific Division. McDavid was instrumental in the victory, scoring on a power play and twice in the second half. The Sharks' Macklin Celebrini scored his 42nd goal for the team, giving him 108 points this season, the third-most for a teenager. The victory gave the Oilers 90 points, two more than Vegas in the division.
