A Las Cruces tattoo artist, Billy Ray Porter, is accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman at the workplace where he works. A judge denied bond after a preliminary hearing and ordered him to remain in custody while the case proceeds. Porter, a 42-year veteran of Porter House Ink and Tattoo, was arrested on four counts of criminal sexual penetration, one count of criminal sex contact, and one of selling or giving alcohol to a minor. The woman reported the incident to police and the case was referred to New Mexico State Police.
