The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) is set to open with the dramedy "Valentina," directed by emerging filmmaker Tatti Ribeiro and executive produced by Jessica Alba and Tracey Nyberg. The film follows a young woman navigates the busy U.S.-Mexico border crossing as she navigates parking tickets, odd jobs, and the instability of gig work. The 25th edition of LALIFF will take place at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on May 27-31. Emmy nominee and Independent Spirit Award winner Nava Mau will head the features jury, marking a significant year for the festival. The festival will also introduce the Adelante Award for Industry, recognizing individuals whose contributions have significantly impacted the entertainment landscape.
