DoorDash's 2025 commerce report reveals insights into local economic trends across 100 major U.S. cities. Jacksonville, Florida, offers a more affordable cheeseburger meal at $16.93 compared to the national average of $18.58. The cost of everyday household essentials in Jacksonville is among the lowest in Florida, averaging $50.50. The report also revealed that the price of basic breakfast staples went down -22.3% year-over-year, largely due to a plunge in egg prices, while the cost of "everyday essentials" such as toilet paper and diapers remained flat. Fewer restaurants are closing and 93% of restaurants using the DoorDash platform remained open, and the Restaurant Price Index is up only 3.2%. The findings align with a recent price analysis by CouponFollow which found price drops for 11 of 25 common grocery staples but sharp increases for coffee, lettuce, ground beef, steak and orange juice.
