Imagine Documentaries and Message Pictures have announced the production of a documentary on Whoopi Goldberg, set to be directed by Geeta Gandbhir, who is nominated for two Academy Awards this year. The film is said to expand on Goldberg's autobiography, "Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother and Me". The documentary will be told in Goldberg's own words and drawn from archival tapes, performance footage, and personal materials. Along with Imagine Documentaries, Message Pictures and GandbhIR are working in association with One Hoe Productions, Goldberg's company.
