New details released about woman accused of stabbing FHP trooper, leading to shooting on SR 836

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper, Julio Cidron, was stabbed with a knife by 42-year-old Lisette Broom, leading to a shooting incident on State Road 836. The incident occurred during a routine search for a wrong-way driver. Broom was ordered to drop the knife but did not comply. Cidro then opened fire on Broom four times, resulting in his injuries. Both men were taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. The child is now in the care of the Florida Department of Children and Families.
