Rep. Mike Kennedy, the Republican nominee for Utah's 4th Congressional District, won 78.7% of the delegates' vote at the GOP State Convention. Kennedy will replace former Rep. John Curtis in the U.S. House of Representatives after Curtis announced a Senate run in 2024. Kennedy, a family doctor and attorney, described himself as a "pragmatic conservative who's thoughtful and civil." He also passed legislation focused on social issues during his tenure in the state legislature. The other candidates earned 204 votes from delegates.
