Senate passes SB 1428 to help Oklahomans navigate Alzheimer’s and dementia services

The full Senate has approved a bill that aims to improve coordination and access to Alzheimer's services in Oklahoma. The bill will create the Office of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia Service Coordination in the State Department of Health, which will provide statewide coordination, service system development, and other resources for those with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. The office will also include a dementia services coordinator who will recommend improvements to the existing services. The legislation will move to the House of Representatives for further consideration.
