The Obama Presidential Center, a new museum, civic campus and cultural hub in Chicago's South Side, is set to open its doors in June with a four-day grand opening celebration. The event will begin with a dedication ceremony on June 18 at the campus's John Lewis Plaza, followed by a public opening day on June 19. The campus will be officially open to the public for the first time and will feature a museum dedicated to the Obama presidency, a forum building for public programming, landscaped park space, public art installations, and a branch of the Chicago Public Library. Most of the campus is free and open to public, but the museum will require timed-entry tickets when reservations become available in May.
