The Parke Family is hosting a memorial softball tournament in honor of Lindsey Rose Parke, a 19-year-old Long Island girl who died following a car crash on Jan. 23. The fundraiser will be held on April 26 at Eisenhower Park Pavilion and Fields in East Meadow, with all proceeds donated to local charities supporting EMT, fire department foundations, and baking classes. Parke was a volunteer at the Levittown Fire Department and a NYS-certified EMT. She also had one day of training before the nurses' strike ended and she never made it back. The winning team will receive a free jersey set sponsored by ROC Athletics and the MVP of the softball glove. The tournament will also feature raffles, prizes, and a BBQ.
