Record high temperatures possible this weekend in western Washington

A significant warmup is set to occur in Western Washington this weekend, with temperatures expected to reach the 60s in many spots and possibly exceed the 70s. The weather is expected to be warmer than usual, with many spots from Seattle south reaching the 70S again on Thursday. Despite a minor disturbance moving across the region, temperatures are expected to remain around four to five degrees above average. Saturday's Windermere Cup regatta will be the unofficial start of boating season. The UV Index will be high, with an index level of 6.
