Over 650,000 people across the UK participated in the Big Garden Birdwatch, spending an hour counting birds in their gardens or parks. The results reveal that individuals living near their homes are more likely to see certain species depending on their location. The event's senior wildlife expert, Helen Bostock, emphasised that even small changes can significantly impact local bird populations.
