Rafael Devers, the highest-paid player for the San Francisco Giants, has been struggling this season and is currently hitting only two home runs and his -0.7 WAR (per FanGraphs) is tied for the second-worst in the majors. Despite this, Devers insists he is not frustrated and believes he will eventually get out of this funk. His slump has been attributed to increased competition from opposing pitchers, with broadcaster Mike Krukow suggesting they are no longer respecting Devers. Despite acknowledging the need to make adjustments, he plans to stay with his swing and believes tinkering will lead to more struggles.
