The announcement of the main event for UFC 328, which will take place on May 9th, was made by UFC CEO Dana White. The event will be held at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. This will be Chimaev's first title defense and Strickland's fourth title fight. Other notable matches include Belal Muhammad vs. Gabriel Bonfim, Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Song Yadley, and Arnold Allen vs. Melquizael Costa.
