Disney Partners On Comic Books With Comixit! After Sora AI Deal Ends

Disney has partnered with Comixit!, a platform founded by Envision Entertainment CEO Michael Nakan, to bring webtoons to fans in EMEA. The partnership comes after the end of Disney's partnership with Sora AI, which was supposed to include 250 Disney characters on the OpenAI platform, ended prematurely due to the cancellation of the deal. Comixits! will base digital comics on over 100 Disney, Pixar, and 20th Century Studios properties, including recent releases like Zootopia 2. The company's goal is to make reading more engaging and engaging for young readers, as only one in three children now enjoy reading, a level of the lowest level in decades.
