Texas residents Heather and Brent Wing are suing American Airlines over an alleged near-death experience after being served a Dumpling Sauce Containing Nuts on a flight from Heathrow Airport to Dallas-Fort Worth. The lawsuit alleges that Heather narrowly survived an anaphylactic shock due to the snack served on board. The couple claims Heather suffered physical injury, emotional trauma, and ongoing medical complications. They are demanding a trial by jury and are seeking compensatory damages, punitive damages, attorneys' fees, and the requirement of "allergen training, menu labeling and proper claims-handling protocols". The complaint also alleges negligence, failure to warn, and one violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
