The Athletics have unveiled a new home run celebration for 2026, with a giant gold chain featuring the head of an elephant being delivered from Luis Severino's locker. The chain was intended to be used as a symbol for the team's home run celebrations, but the team had gone home-unfortunately, leaving the chain largely untouched. During a game against the Mets, Severino placed the chain on Tyler Soderstrom's head after a two-run blast and draped it around his neck. The new celebration will be given to all home run-related players in the future.
