President Trump's lawyers are demanding the release of all communications between Michael Cohen and New York Attorney General Letitia James' office, following a claim from Cohen that he was pressured and coerced to testify against Trump. The 25-page filing comes ahead of a month before the president's team is expected to respond to James' request for the half-billion-dollar civil fraud penalty against him to be reinstated. The president's legal team is asking for an order requiring the production of all records of all conversations between Cohen and James, including interview transcripts, notes, emails, letters and recordings. They also expressed concern that James has not been able to confirm whether these records are being preserved or are at risk of being deleted and purged. Cohen's testimony during the Trump trial was crucial for the prosecution, testifying to inflate the value of Trump’s assets.
