Valve writer Erik Wolpaw, known for his work in Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead, and Portal, has stated that Valve developers have been exploring gen AI for help with video game writing. He also mentioned that a small group of Valve employees have been working on AI and that it has taught them a lot of new skills. Wolpw stressed that whatever work developers are doing with AI might be "Valve-endorsed" but it's not attached to any particular game.
