A two-day manhunt for 36-year-old Jacob Daniel Baker, accused of murdering three men on Hawaii Island, ended after two men spotted a suspicious man on security cameras from a property owned by John Carse and alerted authorities. The surveillance footage from two Lower Puna residents, Mark Wyatt and Richard Valdez, alerted authorities after they saw Baker moving suspiciously and ducking down around their vacant lot with a dog. The FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and the U.S. Marshals Service also joined the search for Baker, which involved federal agencies and state Department of Law DLiffs. The investigation began Monday when police found the body of Bob Shine and the body the next day of Chitta Morse, with both victims believed to have been strangled to death. If charges are filed, Baker could make his initial court appearance on Monday.
