Former Center Township Constable Denise Hatch is running against incumbent Democrat Congressman Andre Carson in the Indiana's 7th Congressional district. One of her passions is to decriminalize marijuana, which she believes would benefit Indiana's tax revenue. She also has plans to use tax dollars to fund trained therapists. Additionally, she has criticized AES Indiana being purchased by a group led by a BlackRock subsidiary due to the economic strain it has been causing. Not long after being elected, Hatch ended up with a felony conviction for official misconduct and is seeking post-conviction relief.
