A federal judge has temporarily barred the government from revoking the employment authorization of former Hanover Park police Officer, Radule Bojovic, who was arrested by ICE in October for allegedly overstaying a tourist visa. The government had revoked Bojov's work permit in January, and he was subsequently let go from the Hanover Police Department. Bojovi had returned to duty, maintaining his valid permit to work in the country while awaiting the outcome of his immigration proceedings. The judge ruled that Bojovich was not a threat to the community and that the government could not deny Bojvic his ability to work. Boojovic immigrated to the US from Montenegro in 2014 on visitor visas and was granted work authorization several times due to safeguards under the Child Status Protection Act.
