Magnolia Crossing Assisted Living in Clovis, California, celebrated its eight-year anniversary on March 12 and also celebrated the birth of resident Mary Rigsbee, who celebrated her 105th birthday with a joint celebration. The facility, which provides local jobs and community connections, was designed to create a more comfortable environment for seniors and serve residents across different income levels. Clovish Mayor Vong Mouanoutoua praised the $10 million project, which required cooperation from several different funders and the city's flood control district to ensure permitting could be possible. Executive Director Constance Peters said the facility has seen significant growth in recent years and plans to expand further in the coming years. Donations to support Magnolia Crossing are tax deductible and can be made on the facility's website.
