Car thief escapes cops by diving into Brooklyn creek; partner arrested

A car thief was caught trying to steal a Honda and a Jeep from a Brooklyn mall parking lot, but managed to evade authorities by diving into a creek behind the building. The woman, identified as 22-year-old Carlyne Hyacinthe, was arrested and charged with car theft, possession of burglar's tools, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal trespass, and weapons possession. Police also found a pocket knife and key fob reprogrammer.
