This College Football Burger Joint Has Served Atlanta For Almost A Century

The Varsity, a college football restaurant founded by Frank Gordy, has served in Atlanta for almost a century. The restaurant is steeped in University of Georgia Athens Bulldog culture and has served up to 25,000 people a day for its extensive customer base. The Varsity now operates in eight locations across the country. Despite its reputation as the "World's Largest Drive-In" and labyrinthine parking set-up, the restaurant has a unique menu and lingo. It also features a "steak" for a burger with mustard, ketchup, and pickle, and a "ring one" for fried fries.
