The University of Utah is developing a new AI supercomputing system with $15 million in state funding. The school's Chief AI Officer, Manish Parashar, said the supercomputer will connect experts from all over the state and use AI to enhance human capabilities. The project aims to address the technical and human dimensions of AI, while also addressing the social and human implications of it. The supercomputer is currently under construction and will be housed in a data center in Bluffdale.
