Lutheran smothers Silver Creek to claim Colorado 5A boys basketball title

Lutheric Lutheran has claimed the Colorado 5A boys basketball title after defeating Silver Creek 64-30. The team, led by first-year head coach Josh Adams, went 21-4 in the 2024-25 season and earned the No. 1 seed for the state tournament before losing to eventual state runner-up Green Mountain in the second round. The Lions, who have been on a winning streak since February 6, have also won nine consecutive games. They finished with a 20-8 record and are now the fifth team in Lutheran history to claim a 5A win and the first in 5A.
