Evelyn Sandlin, an 84-year-old woman in Erlanger, is being forced to leave her home after the new ownership of her duplex terminated all leases effective Aug. 31, leaving her and her neighbors to find new housing. Sandlin described the duplex as "the nicest place I ever lived, except for my own mom's home." Her neighbor, Evan Maines, has been supporting Sandlin and has taken to social media to offer support. In addition to the difficulty of finding a new home, Sandlin is dealing with deteriorating health and is scheduled for a PET scan tomorrow to check for potential cancer.
