Iran warns of death penalty, asset seizures for spying, aiding enemies

Iran has warned that individuals accused of spying or aiding "hostile states" could face the death penalty and confiscation of all their assets under a recently enhanced law. The law, passed last year, applies to operational, intelligence and certain media activities supporting those of those deemed to be anti-terrorism. Those creating "fear" through misinformation could face prison terms, with penalties increasing in wartime.
