RJ Thomas, a 20-year-old boy from Syracuse, was killed at a north Charlotte pool party on Sunday afternoon. Among the five people shot at the party, Thomas was the only one to survive. The incident occurred during which hundreds of people were recording the event on their cell phones. Thomas' family hopes these videos will help lead police to the person or person responsible for fatally shooting him. His mother, Shonda Seals, recalls the moment she learned her son had been shot and was blocked from reaching him. Police have not yet released any information on any suspects or arrests.
