NASA mission commander Reid Wiseman revealed that the Artemis II astronauts sleep in unusual ways during their journey towards the moon, with Christina Koch sleeping in the middle of the vehicle and Victor Glover sleeping in separate nooks. The team's historic launch took place shortly after midnight on Wednesday for their 10-day trip around the moon. The astronauts are set to reach the moon in four days, loop around and return to Earth. They have been slowly circling the Earth in an elliptical orbit since the launch, but an injection burn last night accelerated the capsule to about 22,000 mph and launched it into the 250,000 mile gap between Earth and the moon known as the cislunar space. The mission will take place on Monday, with the crew expected to see its far side in sunlight for the first time on the six-day mission.
