Dr. Mohsen Ali, a doctor in the UK, has been removed from the medical register after a tribunal found that he charged cancer patients thousands of pounds for unproven treatments, including garlic oil injections, which he claimed could cure cancer. Despite not having a license to practice in the country, Ali allegedly ran an unlicensed clinic and falsely claimed that he could cure both patients' cancer with a 90% success rate. The General Medical Council lists Ali as "erased" from the register after an April 2026 tribunal decision, pending an appeal. The tribunal found Ali was aware the treatments were not evidence-based and described his conduct as "dishonest". The treatments were performed at Ali's home in Leicester, which was described as unsanitary and unsuitable for clinical care.
