Martin Clunes has spoken about his portrayal of disgraced BBC presenter Huw Edwards in the first major dramatization of a scandal that rocked Britain. The two-part drama, Power: The Downfall of Huw, depicts Edwards' grooming of a young man before he was convicted on separate child abuse image charges. The creative team consulted with the victim, their family, and journalists at The Sun who broke the news. Despite some criticism, Clunes said the project was a challenge and praised the writer Mark Burt as a brilliant dramatist. Osian Morgan, playing the character of 'Ryan', played by Clunes, said the role was his first chance to play a more sympathetic character after a series of antagonist roles.
