European publishers, tech firms, and foundations have urged the European Commission to increase its fine on Google over its search dominance. The pressure comes amid ongoing tensions within the bloc over the regulation of Big Tech, with regular clashes between Washington and Brussels over rules aimed at curbing the dominance of U.S. companies in social media, online search and AI.
