Hospital mistake kept quiet for weeks raises concern

A hospital in Wales is under review after 21 patients were treated with surgical tools that were not fully sterilized, raising concerns about infection. The instruments were disinfected but did not go through the proper sterilization process, leading to a delay of about three weeks. All affected patients have been offered testing. The chance of patients receiving an infection is low, but doctors believe testing is vital to confirm safety. The hospital is working to prevent future incidents.
