A Will County judge has granted Park Forest's request to remove Red Oak Property Management from running the dilapidated Autmn Ridge apartments. The ruling removes Red Oak from collecting rents and utility payments from tenants, while turning over day-to-day operation of all the units to Frontline Real Estate Partners of Chicago and Deerfield. This decision ends a long dispute between Park Forest and Red Oak over numerous code violations against the management company. Red Oak is estimated to owe the village around $212,000 in unpaid fines. The change in management is seen as a significant step towards improving the living conditions of residents in Park Forest.
