Veterans Mental Health Summit Brings Local Organizations Together to Strengthen Support

The Veterans Assistance Commission of McHenry County hosted its first Veterans Mental Health Summit in 2026, bringing together local organizations from across the county and surrounding communities. The event was aimed at creating a space where mental health providers, veteran support groups, and community organizations could connect, share information, and discuss ways to better serve veterans. The summit also encouraged collaboration and a deeper understanding of resources available to veterans. Attendees were invited to present their programs and services, which allowed attendees to learn about the range of support. The attendance was limited to invited organizations and may expand as the program grows.
