Three GOP senators back Sanders amendment to slash drug prices

Three of the Republican senators voted in favor of an amendment sponsored by Sen. Bernie Sanders to reduce prescription drug prices. The amendment required that Americans pay no more for their medications than Europeans or Canadians. However, it failed by a vote of 49 to 49. The majority of the Senate GOP opposed this change.
