NFL reporter Crissy Froyd celebrated the resignation of Dianna Russini from the Athletic after she was seen spending time with married coach Mike Vrabel at an Arizona resort. Froyed claimed that Russini's actions were detrimental to women in sports who have done things the right way. She also claimed that she declined the opportunity for Russini to act as her mentor due to her alleged "track record". Both Vrab and Russini denied the romantic nature of the photos. While some have celebrated Russini’s downfall, sportscaster Michelle Beadle warned against “female sportspeople” who were criticizing her.
