Israeli police attacked a group of journalists outside the Old City of Jerusalem, including a CNN producer who suffered a fractured wrist. The journalists were covering Ramadan prayers outside the Lion’s Gate and were subject to police restrictions. The officers also damaged photographic equipment and confiscated memory cards from the journalists. The Union of Journalists in Israel called for immediate suspension of the police officers involved and an internal investigation. The Foreign Press Association (FPA) also condemned the "unprovoked assault".
